agpipes are ancient instruments which have successfully maintained their authenticity throughout the centuries.
hile we make this instrument in the present day we try to keep its thousand- year-old origins intact by reflecting on its past.
he whole process of making these instruments is important to us and we are passionate about making all our instruments by hand, using prime materials from natural resources.
he most important materials in making bagpipes are wood, cane and animal skin and we like to think that when they have fulfilled their purpose they will return to the earth that produced them.
e use native trees as much as possible and the wood is collected, seasoned and treated in the open air for several years before it can be worked on. It is finished and sealed with raw, cold pressed linseed oil which guarantees the preservation of the wood and the acoustic qualities.
he reeds of the drones and the chanter are made from the Arundo donax cane, a material which has been used for hundreds of years by musicians and instrument makers for its excellent acoustic qualities.

he bag itself comes from cow’s skin sewn by hand using linen thread treated and waterproofed using bees wax and rosin.
